Giuliani Urges Photos Of Adult Patrons Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said Friday the public should take pictures of people who enter adultentertainment businesses to scare them off. Giuliani urged the use of surveillance during his morning radio show. "People have done that very successfully and driven some of the disgusting operations out of the neighborhood," the mayor said, adding it was a "perfectly legitimate thing to do." Free-speech advocates blasted the proposal as a possibly illegal use of the mayor's bully pulpit and "absolute insanity." But Giuliani said cus-: tomers would be well served by the activism. "You might be doing them a favor because you might start getting them to deal with their problem," the mayor said. A lawyer helping X-rated businesses fight new new zoning that would bar most such businesses, Herald Price Fahringer, called the mayor's suggestion "absolute insanity I can't believe a mature man would be making such outrageous suggestions." The county chairman said "it was only if he could come up to speed" and show he had a chance of winning that the Nassau delegation would back him all the way, and, Sabbeth added, "as far as I'm concerned, he didn't come up to speed." A number of Nassau Democrats are expected to stick with Larocca, including Legis.

Lisanne Altmann (D-Great Neck), North Hempstead Town Supervisor May Newburger, former Oyster Bay Supervisor Lewis Yevoli, North Hempstead Town Democratic leader Larry Aaronson, and Lee Seeman, Democratic leader in the 16th Assembly District. "I think you have to keep a commitment," said Newburger, adding that she was and is for Larocca. Newburger said she had the feeling that, other than Sabbeth, there was little support for the lieutenant governor among local political leaders. Other sources agreed, but suggested that the votes still would be there for McCaughey Ross because even if they would prefer Larocca most members of Death Notices To place an announcement in Death Notices, In Memoriam, In Sympathy, or Card of Thanks call 516-843-3162 Monday thru Friday 9:00 PM, Saturday Sunday 11:30 PM. Also, while people such as Altmann, Newburger, Yevoli, Aronson and Seeman might support Larocca, Seeman is the only one of that number who will be able to support him by voting for him at the convention. Larocca said he will fight on and predicted that he will get a number of votes from the Nassau delegation. Some Democratic sources said they thought Sabbeth's action Friday effectively sounds the death knell for Larocca's candidacy.

However, another candidate, Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes, said, "Jim Larocca is a tough guy. I wouldn't count him out." Without the Nassau votes, Larocca probably would have to go the difficult route of gathering signatures on petitions. If the Larocca campaign suffered a serious blow by losing Sabbeth's support, some Democrats feel it also gave the lieutenant governor a leg up on Hynes and the other candidates. Hynes questioned this, saying he thinks she will have a hard time convincing Democrats at the convention that she is a real Democrat. McCaughey Ross changed from being a Republican last September, months before announcing her candidacy.

"I think she is going to have a gread deal of difficulty in dealing with the fact that we have an issueoriented party," Hynes said. tion R.C. Church, Maspeth. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury. DeBLASIO- Frank on May 15, Albertson, NY.
