Hospital early today (Friday) Cause of death remains undetermined pending an autopsy to be performed today by Dr Robert Schmidt county cornoer Hobgood reportedly was in- volved in a fight at the Log Cabin in Laporte prior to' his death though Chief Investigator Tom Peterson of the Larimer County Office said facial injuries sustained by Hobgood outwardly did not appear serious enough to have caused death According to Peterson the fight between Hobgood and another man ensued following a bet on a proposed Indian wrestling contest The second combatant listed only as a suspect by the office has been questioned and released PETERSON SAID he understands Hobgood left the Log Ca- bin with a friend of the family apparently suffering no immediate results from the scuffle However when they reached Fort Collins Hobgood apparently passed out His companion took him to Fire Station Number One for help A window in an overhead door at the station was broken in an attempt to arouse help This
